The University of North Dakota Motorsports team is a student organization that works together to design, manufacture, and build an open wheel formula style race car. Every year, the car is taken to compete against other collegiate teams. UND Motorsports welcomes students from all majors and all years in school. ​The UND Motorsports team began in 2003 and has been building cars every year since then. The team is subdivided into smaller sub-teams consisting of: Chassis and Ergonomics, Steering and Suspension, Engine and Drivetrain, and Electrical Systems.
